AI Overviews are growing rapidly on shopping queries
In November 2025, Ahrefs reported that AI Overviews only appeared for 2.1% of transactional queries in Google Search. At the time, eCommerce stores were fairly immune to AI Overviews reducing clicks within Google’s search results. A lot has changed since then.
